Since its founding, 1794 Meetinghouse, Inc. has seen many changes. As with any 200 year-old building, restoration and repair work is never done.
In 1997, we repaired and painted the ceiling and horsehair plaster walls of the Main Hall. Jerry Eide, who was the main contractor for this project, can be seen injecting a substance into the walls so that the old plaster will adhere to the lathes. He was responsible for erecting the scaffolding as well as the completion of the ceiling and all of the Meetinghouse walls. Our young volunteer is Zoe Plakias.
