1794 Meetinghouse, Inc. occasionally sponsors evenings of special cinema. In 2000, audiences were treated to two separate nights of captivating documentaries by award-winning filmmakers, selected by film coordinator Carlyn Saltman.  The artists held a question and answer session after each film.

"The Old Quabbin Valley"

This film traced the history of the Quabbin Reservoir through rare film footage of the dismantling of the Quabbin towns and construction of the reservoir.

"Beneath the River: An Underwater Exploration of the Connecticut River"

Led by biologist Ed Klekowski, this film took the viewers on a journey to explore the origins of the Connecticut River and the Connecticut River Valley.

"Not Just Garbage"

"Seminoles"
